tax purposes. You also must be over the age of 16 and have a UK
bank account.
How do I
apply?

form is completed online and if you have all your details to hand,
it should only take around 5 minutes.
Can
I open a joint account?

only be opened in single names.
Can I open an
account on behalf of someone else?

open an account in your own name. This account cannot be operated
as a trustee account.
How long does
the account opening process take?
As long as you have all of your details to hand, the initial
application process should take about 5 minutes. You will then need
to send a payment for your first opening deposit, along with any
required identification (if requested). Once we have received your
investment, your account will be ready to use after payment has
cleared – You must send your payment to us within 30 days of
submitting your application, otherwise we will delete your
application and your details will be removed from the system.
What happens if I’m
asked to provide identification?
The majority of
applicants will not need to provide identification, as electronic
checks via credit reference agencies will be undertaken during the
application process. In some cases, however, we will need to ask
for proof of name and address. If this is the case, you will be
informed at the end of the apply process if identification is
required. Once checked, all identification will be returned to
you.
Why do I have to
have a UK current account to open an e-SAVER?
You need a UK current account to move money in and out of your

on your identity.
