Celebrate your fave and help save Dave this St David’s Day
This St David’s Day, Principality Building Society is asking the nation to nominate their favourite friend or family member called ‘Dave’ to win sold out tickets to watch Ed Sheeran perform at Principality Stadium this summer.
Wales’ largest building society is calling upon people everywhere to celebrate the best person in their life called Dave, David, Dai, Dafydd or Dewi, as Wales honours its own patron saint, David.
With figures showing that the name Dave is in danger of dying out, as only seven newborn babies were named Dave in 2016*, Principality’s Save the Dave competition celebrates all that is great about the name Dave.
Julie-Ann Haines, Chief Customer Officer at Principality said: “We’re an organisation proud of our Welsh roots and want to celebrate the history of our nation and our Wales’ patron saint David.
“As we wear our daffodils this St David’s Day, we’ll also be putting a spotlight on Daves from communities in each corner of Wales. We’ll be asking the nation for favourite Dave nominations, whether that’s your dad, uncle, neighbour, someone who helps out in the community, or your best friend.”
To enter the competition, visit www.facebook.com/principalitybuildingsociety from Thursday 1st March, St David’s Day, to nominate your favourite Dave and be in with a chance of winning two tickets to Ed Sheeran’s summer concert at Principality Stadium.
