Circus and Principality flying high together

A Cardiff based contemporary circus company NoFit State is flying high after Principality Building Society recently announced its support.

Wales’ largest building society has committed to support a wide range of activity with NoFit State in Cardiff; from youth circus performances and bursaries to work experience projects and community outreach sessions over the course of 2014.

Bethan Gamble, Development Manager for NoFit State said: “It’s a great match between the two organisations, we both value our grassroots and strive to work closely with our local communities.”

NoFit State Circus is a registered charity; known internationally for its large scale touring shows, closer to home the company has been delivering community education and outreach work in south Wales for the past 30 years.

“The generous sponsorship from Principality will allow us to open up our programme of work and gives us the opportunity to work directly with their staff to deliver brand new projects that bring together our individual strengths,” explains Executive Director of NoFit State, Alison Woods.

To mark the beginning of the relationship, last month Principality sponsored the NoFit State’s youth circus performance of their new show Get Your Walt On. A Small group of Principality staff attended as guests of honor and James Harper, Local Marketing Support Officer for the company said: “It was a superb show – packed with skill and entertainment, it was a real honor to support such an innovative and exciting performance.

“Our communities and support of the arts in Wales plays a vital role for us at Principality and relationships like this clearly demonstrate the benefits to both the arts company, the business and the wider community. We are thrilled to be able to work so closely with NoFit State and allow people in Wales to be involved with this fantastic project.”

This partnership will run for the duration of 2014 and has already begun making progress.
