How long have you worked at Principality?

What training did you undertake in the preparation for your new role? 
I attended a number of managerial and introductory courses in Principality to enhance my knowledge of the role. In my previous role, I undertook a 10 month managerial programme and completed a professional examination with the Institute of Financial Services.

What does your role entail?
The role of branch manager is a demanding and very rewarding role. It entails the daily running of Tonypandy Branch, ensuring our members are provided the best customer service and have all the information on our products and services to make an informed decision.

What’s your background? Where have you worked before?
I graduated from Swansea University in 2010. My first job was in Halifax as a Customer Consultant where I progressed to a Personal Banking Consultant RBCB and undertook the management training programme, which brings me to my new role in Principality Tonypandy.

What do you enjoy most about working at Principality so far?
My favourite thing is interacting with different customers every day. I get to meet new and interesting people every day and no day is the same.

When you are not in branch– what do you like to do?
I love history so enjoy visiting museums and castles with lots of culture and history behind it. I am also a huge Welsh rugby fan and have been thoroughly enjoying watching the boys in red during the World Cup.

What is your favourite thing about Tonypandy?
The friendly community in Tonypandy, everybody is down to earth and knows each other. I love that regular customers just pop into the branch for a chat.

How have you and the team helped in the local community?
Community and our customers are at the heart of everything we do in Tonypandy, we are currently working with a school to provide help and support where we can.
