Fifteen special projects shortlisted for
Principality Give Me Five Award
Three special community projects have been
shortlisted from each of the five operating regions across Wales
for the £5,000 Principality Give me Five award.
They were among more than 140 projects from
all over Wales put forward for the cash award, totalling £25,000,
offered by Wales’ largest building society.
The £5,000 injection of support will be awarded to a
clearly-defined project which is making – or will make – a
difference to the people within its community. It needs to be full
of life, close to the community it serves, meet a defined need and
be innovative.

projects from each region:

Designed to help community projects and
charities make a real difference to the communities they serve, the
Give Me Five treasure chest was offered by Principality to give
groups the chance to kick-start, complete or continue the good work
of a worthwhile project close to the needs of it’s community.
The shortlist for the Principality
Give Me Five Award was considered by the judging panel in November
and the five winners were announced just in time for Christmas. For

Principality chief executive Peter Griffiths
said: “The sheer volume and quality of applications we received is
testament to the success of the Principality Give Me Five
Award.
“It proved difficult enough to narrow down the
entries to the fifteen we have shortlisted. We now have the
unenviable job of having to decide the five final winners who will
each receive the £5,000 award.”
