Principality Member scores once in a lifetime rugby weekend

One lucky Principality Building Society Member from Neath got the VIP treatment after he met his Wales rugby heroes before they played Australia.

Anthony Davies, 27, and his family got to watch the Welsh team run drills and practice line outs, before getting to rub shoulders with Welsh stars Dan Biggar, George North,  Jamie Roberts, Leigh Halfpenny and captain, Gethin Jenkins.

He won the exclusive prize draw open to all Members of Wales’ largest building society at the AGM this year, which included a three night stay at the Clayton hotel in Cardiff, attending the Welsh teams Captain’s Run, VIP hospitality suite match tickets for four people and a tour of the home of Welsh rugby, Principality Stadium.

Despite the 8-32 defeat to Australia, Anthony said the memories will stay with him for a lifetime: “The whole weekend has been fantastic, one I won’t forget in a while. I was lucky enough to bring my brother along with me, who is a huge rugby fan. It’s been great experiencing this with him.

“Seeing the team train before the match, and then watching the game from the hospitality box, we really did have the best seats in the house. Huge thanks to Principality for such a great weekend.”

Anthony has been a Principality Member since he was a baby when his family opened a Super Ted young saver account for him. Principality rewarded other loyal account holders this weekend giving away 130 tickets in total to watch Wales’ first game of the autumn international series.

Laurie Adams, Chairman of the Principality Building Society, said: “Principality like to reward the loyalty of our Members by giving them something in return. Thanks to our partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union some lucky Members have the chance to meet their rugby heroes. We are delighted Anthony and his family enjoyed meeting the players on Friday. Creating great memories is what we want to help our Members achieve.”
