Strong Customer Authentication

Improving your security

As part of our commitment to your safety and security, and in line with new regulation due to launch later this year, we’re currently working on updates to Your Account.

This industry wide regulation, called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), is designed to help us all fight fraud and improve the security of your online payments.

What does this mean for you?

If you’re a Principality customer registered for our online service Your Account, we’ll be in touch to ask you to provide your current mobile or check that the number we have for you is correct.

As part of the log in for the new Your Account, coming later in the year, we’ll send a passcode to your mobile, so it’s important we’ve got the right number for you.  If we don’t have your mobile number, you won’t be able to log in to the new Your Account.

Once we have your current mobile number, you’re all set for the update.

We’ll send you more details on the new and improved Your Account, including launch dates, later in the year.

What if you’re not registered for Your Account?

Whilst it’s important for us to have your most up to date details, you don’t need to do anything now. If you decide to register for Your Account later, we’ll need your current mobile number.
