How we helped
North Wales Housing has received £20M in funding from Principality Commercial to support the development of affordable homes and address the increasing demand for housing across the region.
A key project enabled by the funding is The Poppies development at Watts Dyle in Wrexham. Originally intended for open market sale, all 59 homes on the site have been acquired by North Wales Housing to be offered as social rented and affordable housing thanks to combined support from the Welsh Government’s TACP funding and a £10M Social Housing Grant from Wrexham Council.
Principality Commercial will continue to support North Wales Housing's ambitious housing development programme, which aims to deliver 500 new energy-efficient and affordable homes by 2027 across all six North Wales counties.
“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with North Wales Housing Association. As a mutual business, contributing to the development of much-needed affordable housing and making more possible within the communities we serve is something that aligns with our purpose as an organisation. We look forward to continuing this partnership and working to support a fairer society.”
Sarah Lavender, Senior Relationship Manager, at Principality Commercial.
