How we helped
Principality Commercial is pleased to provide £8.4 million in development funding for Stonewood Homes’ latest development, Worwell Farm in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Closely aligned, both businesses are focused on making a positive impact on society and building more homes.

Their house building arm, Stonewood Homes, delivers its own high-quality homes on various sites, with a focus on creating developments that are both sustainable and thoughtfully designed, earning them a reputation for excellence.

More about this project
Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, midway between the M4 and Cirencester, the historic market town of Tetbury is the location for Stonewood Homes’ latest scheme. The Worwell Farm development will comprise 27 new sustainable homes, with 11 of these being designated as affordable housing to meet local needs. The site also delivers a much-needed new doctors' surgery to the local community.
The development will include a mix of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes, using Stonewood’s ‘fabric first’ approach to construction, ensuring energy efficiency is built in from the start, with homes positioned to maximise natural light, and passive solar gain. The homes will feature solar panels, air source heat pumps, and electric vehicle charging points. Stonewood aim to combine thoughtful architecture with environmental conscious construction methods.
Works began on site earlier in the summer of 2025, with the project moving forward on schedule. The first homes are expected to come to market in the summer of 2026, providing new housing opportunities in a desirable and sought-after location.
Sam Smart, Managing Director at Stonewood Homes said:
“We are very proud to be delivering these stylish, sustainable new homes in Tetbury alongside a much-needed Doctors surgery for the local community. Stonewood always looks for partners that share our values and Principality are the perfect fit for us to support this exciting project.”
