Traders Yard development responds to Cardiff rental demand

Cardiff based property developer, Urban Centric, has now agreed funding with Principality Building Society for Traders Yard, a development of 182 co-living apartments.

Located alongside the River Taff, the development is in the heart of Cardiff’s major regeneration area neighbouring Central Quay, Callaghan Square and Cardiff Central railway station.

With full planning permission now in place for this residential project, Principality has agreed just under £28million in funding to support Urban Centric’s latest development.

Shared spaces enhance the community experience

Traders Yard will be split into two blocks - a smaller five-storey block of 40 apartments, due to complete in 2027, with the remaining  13-storey block of 142 apartments completing in 2028.

The development will include a communal plaza, commercial floorspace, balconies/roof gardens and cycle storage.  The development will also provide significant shared amenity space including a gym, dining room, co-working areas, lounges, games rooms, cinema room and wellness areas.
