Opening marks the Society’s fourth location outside Wales as it continues to deepen relationships with customers

We have officially opened a new agency in Thornbury, near Bristol, to build deeper relationships with customers in England.

The agency began welcoming customers in mid-September ahead of its formal opening formal opening event on Monday 5 October. The new location brings Principality’s Member-focused approach to a new community, helping to preserve access to a human touch in financial services in the area.

It represents another important step in the Society’s ambition to build deeper relationships with customers, and serve more Members across England.

Why Thornbury is so important

Iain Mansfield, Chief Executive Officer, at Principality Building Society, said:

"Opening in Thornbury is an exciting next step in Principality's journey. Extending our high street presence with a fourth location outside of Wales means we can bring our offering to more customers.

As a modern mutual, the human touch that people so value from us, really matters. The commercial profit we make as a business powers our purpose, allowing us to give back to the communities we operate in – building deeper relationships and helping more customers to save and own their own home."

The Thornbury agency builds on Principality’s long-established presence of 53 branches and 15 agencies, strengthening its network in communities along the Wales - England border.
