First Time Buyer activity softened, with new business volumes falling 14% to 3,153, though purchase prices and deposits edged higher. Cardiff continues to dominate both value and volume.
Home Mover activity slowed sharply, with new mortgage volumes down 20% to 2,723. Affordability pressure persists as monthly repayments rose 1.7% to £1,257 – up 45% since Q1 2021.
Buy-to-Let activity dipped after two quarters of growth, with new business value down 9% to £144m. Cardiff remains the largest market at £33m – its highest since Q4 2022.
