Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

1. This prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 and over. This prize draw is not open to the Promoter’s employees, their immediate families, agency staff, or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw. 

Entry

2. No purchase is necessary; entry is free. 

        a. To enter, participants must visit principality.co.uk/trysaving during the prize draw and complete the form in full with the following:

        b. Answer the question – ‘What are you saving for?’

        c. Provide your name, email address, contact number and date of birth 

3. Participants who have completed the requirements in Condition 2 above correctly will be entered into the draw.

4. Only one (1) entry per person.  If entrants enter more than once, only their first entry will be accepted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted. 

5. By entering this promotion, you will be accepting these Terms and Conditions.

Prize and Draw Details

6. There will be five (5) winners. Each winner will receive £2,000 to help kick-start their savings. Winners will be invited to their local branch to receive a cheque where possible (but this is not mandatory) or by bank transfer to a UK bank account in their name. 

7. The Prize must be accepted as offered and no other alternative is available. 

8. This prize draw is open from 08:00 on 07/02/2026 until 23:59 on 14/03/2026 (GMT). 

9. Winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries by the Promoter using a random generator after the prize draw has closed on 14/03/2026. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

Winners Notification and Acceptance

10. The Promoter will contact winners as soon as practicable after the prize draw is closed. The Promoter will contact winners via telephone or email provided upon entry of the prize draw to confirm if the winners accept and how they would like to receive their Prize. The Winners can choose to receive their Prize by either:

        a. Collecting a cheque from a Principality branch, the Winner must confirm which branch and a date/time for collection; or 

        b. Bank transfer, the Winner must provide details of a UK bank account in their name. 

11. The Winner will have five (5) working days from the date of the Promoter’s notification to accept the Prize by providing the information requested in Condition 10 to the Promoter.  If there is no such acceptance, an alternative winner may be redrawn from the remaining eligible entries for this promotion until the Prize has been allocated. These same terms and conditions will apply to such alternative winner(s) as applied to the original winner, save that the Promoter may apply a shorter acceptance period.

12. The Prize will be provided or transferred to the Winner within 30 days of accepting the Prize (subject to the date arranged to collect their Prize if cheque is preferred).

Disclaimer and Promoter’s Rights

13. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if the Prize is lost or damaged,  if the Winner has provided incorrect details to transfer the Prize, the Winner fails to respond to the Promoter’s notification in time or if the Winner’s bank does not credit the Prize in full to their account.  

14. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize(s) with a prize(s) of comparable value if necessary. 

15. The Winner should consider whether there are any tax implications applicable to them in receiving the Prize and the Promoter cannot provide any advice in this regard.

16. It is the Winner’s responsibility to ensure that they have a UK bank or building society account in their own name before they enter and to provide the Promoter with the correct details. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any charges or fees levied by the Winner’s bank or building society for having the Prize transferred in or out of their account.

17. The Promoter reserves the right to eliminate or disqualify any entries or refuse to award the Prize where, in its sole opinion, it regards as being in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

18. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

19. The Promoter does not take any responsibility for lost, damaged, corrupt or undelivered entries. Proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

20. The Promoter reserves the right to delete or remove any posts that, in our sole opinion, are inappropriate, illegal, threatening, abusive, offensive or defamatory, or breaches Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Instagram rules, and that entry will be disqualified in accordance with Condition 18 above. 

21. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

22. The prize draw is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated in any other way with ITVX, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok. Terms and conditions of use for ITVX, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok will apply (please check the relevant websites for further details). By entering, you agree to all terms and conditions of the site provider. The Promoter has no control over the content or administration of these sites, and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for the sites, their content or administration. You also agree to release ITVX, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn or Instagram from liability connected to this prize draw and address any complaint about it to the Promoter.

Publicity and Data Protection

23. The Promoter may wish to feature participants and their entries in reasonable publicity/promotional activity including but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram.  By entering, all entrants agree to this. Winners will be asked to consent to photography/video for promotional use on Principality marketing channels.

24. Except where prevented by law, the Winners’ surname and County or a copy of their winning entry may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Principality Try Saving Competition at the Promoter’s address below or by e-mail to ruthie.barsby@principality.co.uk.  All entrants agree that their surname and County or a copy of their winning entry may be so disclosed. Entrants shall inform the Promoter if they object to such disclosure. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

25. Any personal data provided will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can view our privacy policy at www.principality.co.uk/privacypolicy. See also Condition  3, 9, 10 23 and 24 with regard to the administration of Prize, promotional activity and announcement of winners.

Liability, Governing Law and Jurisdiction

26. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

27. This prize draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
