Principality Building Society extends charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan and Hope House Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospices

Principality Building Society has announced that it has renewed its charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan and Hope House Children’s Hospices for another year.

The two charities who provide outstanding end of life care for children, and support for their families, were first announced as charity partners of Principality in 2022. Since then, the building society, it’s staff and members have donated over £250,000 to the two charities, through various fundraising activities.

Principality marks the extension of the partnership with £10,000 donation to each charity, which will enable them to provide additional help for families currently being supported by the hospices and who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, particularly at this time of year.

Tony Smith, Chief Impact and Governance Officer at Principality Building Society, said: “We are delighted to continue our charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan and Hope House Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, who do an amazing job of caring for children and their families at the most difficult of times. We know that this has been a particularly challenging year for the charities financially, as they continue to provide their services amidst rising costs. We’re proud to extend our support and hope our latest donation will help to create treasured memories for the families they support this Christmas.”

Maria Timon Samra, Chief Executive at Tŷ Hafan said, “We are so pleased that Principality Building Society has decided to extend their charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan, and our counterpart Tŷ Gobaith for another year, giving us the opportunity to continue to raise much needed funds. This news comes as we are about to enter our 25th year and will help us to deliver on our vision to be there for every child and family who needs our support when they are faced with the unimaginable. We are extremely grateful for the fantastic efforts of Principality’s colleagues, members and customers and we are really looking forward to achieving more together over the next year, and to creating a lasting legacy of this proud All-Wales partnership.”

Andy Goldsmith, Chief Executive of Hope House Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices, said: “We are thrilled that Principality have extended our partnership as they have been fantastic supporters of our hospices. The Christmas donation is a very thoughtful and timely gift that will help the families we support to cope with the extra costs and pressures of the festive season. We are excited to continue our collaboration with Principality Building Society and thank them for their commitment and kindness.”
