If you are a new buyer purchasing your first property to let or expanding your portfolio of property to rent out, Principality offer a range of Buy to Let Mortgages with competitive Buy to Let Mortgage rates through Independent Mortgage Brokers and our branches. 

Some things you should know before you go further

  • LTV - The maximum loan to valuation we will consider is 75%
  • Portfolio - We can only offer Buy to Let Mortgages to applicants with a maximum of 5 rental properties, including the property associated with this application
  • Location - The mortgage must be for a Buy to Let property in Wales or England
  • Rental Income - This should be at least 145% of the monthly interest payments

Buy to Let Mortgages types

  • Fixed Buy to Let Mortgage rates allow you to pay a fixed interest rate for the promotional period of the mortgage
  • Tracker Buy to Let Mortgage rates are linked to the Bank of England Bank Rate for the promotional period of the mortgage. If you are on a Tracker Mortgage, your interest rate is variable and it 'tracks', or is linked to, the Bank of England Bank Rate until the end of the special term. This means that any changes to the Bank of England Bank Rate will have an effect on your rate, and subsequently on your monthly payments which could go up or down depending on the change.
  • Discounted Buy to Let Mortgage rates offer interest rates below our Standard Variable Rate (SVR) for the promotional period of the mortgage. If you are on a Discounted Mortgage, your interest rate is variable and is discounted against our SVR for a set period of time. This means if the SVR changes, so too will your monthly repayments and they could go up or down.

IF YOU FAIL TO KEEP UP WITH PAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE A ‘RECEIVER OF RENT’ MAY BE APPOINTED AND/OR YOUR RENTAL PROPERTY MAY BE REPOSSESSED.
